Did you know that the restaurant industry uses 2.5 times more energy per square foot than most other commercial
buildings. And, when in comes to waste the restaurant industry is a huge offender - food scraps account for more
than 800,000 tons of the waste generated each year in Massachusetts!
00At Stone Hearth Pizza we’re doing our part to operate our restaurants as sustainably as possible. To do this we
employed the assistance of the Sustainable Business Leader Program (SBLP). As participating members and
graduates of the Sustainable Business Leader Program we have completed a comprehensive 100-point
sustainability assessment for each restaurant identifying and improving our practices in:
