Is there a minimum order?

The minimum catering order is $75.

What is your delivery window?

We will set for each event based on driver availability and actual event start time.

Do you do tastings?

Yes, with adequate advance notice we can arrange for you to taste items before you decide to order. In general, we need a week’s notice to schedule a tasting. Because we make everything to order, please contact our catering office to schedule a tasting.

How can I pay?

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express at the time your order is placed and your card will not be charged until the date of your event. Or you can pay by check or cash at the time of delivery. For our corporate clients we can discuss invoicing & terms.

Can you help with food allergies/dietary restrictions?

We are happy to work with food allergies and dietary restrictions. Please be as specific as you can regarding your needs so that we can address them safely and properly.

How many large pizzas do I need?

The formula we use to estimate the number of pizzas required for large groups is: 2.5 slices per person divided by 8 slices per large pizza. Example: If you have 30 people in your group: 30 people x 2.5 slices of pizza each (30 x 2.5 = 75 slices) divided by number of slices of pizza in a large = 75 / 8 = ~ 10 large pizzas for 30 people.

Can you do an all vegetarian and/or vegan menu?

Are your containers BPA free and compostable?

Yes, our containers are BPA free, compostable or can be recycled if not composted.

Do you offer terms?

Terms are handled on a case by case basis depending on frequency or ordering, order size and annual volume.

Do you offer alcoholic beverages?

We can supply alcoholic beverages, however, a permit may be required depending on the venue, in some areas this process can take two weeks or more, and may be subject to an additional staffing fee.

Do you offer some gluten-free options in your catering menu?

Any of our pizzas can be made gluten-free (in the 12 inch size only). We can do most of our pasta dishes, salads and many dessert offerings gluten free.

What does the service charge on a full scale event include?

Service charge refers to the cost of labor if required. We will itemize costs for other services, linens, rentals etc.

Do you do out-of-state catering?

We do not currently offer catering out of state.

Would you work with my current caterer?

We are happy to work with event coordinators and other caterers.

Can you provide tables, chairs, linens and other rental items?

Yes, please ask our Catering Director about any specific needs.

Who cleans up after the event?

We can provide a full range of servers and clean up crew if needed.

What if I need to cancel my order?

Most orders cancelled within 24 hours do not incur a fee.

Do you have fresh fruit?

We can provide fresh fruit for your group at market price.

Can you provide servers, chefs and bartenders?

Yes, we are capable of providing all necessary staff to set up, run and break down your entire event.

How early or late do you cater?

Our catering hours are flexible and are typically from 10:00 am to 11:00pm.

Do you offer entertainment?

We do not offer entertainment.

Do I need to sign a contract?

A contract can be provided if needed, we do not require one.

Do you require a deposit?

No. Stone Hearth does not requires a deposit on an order.

Do you do outside catering?

We can cater inside or out (seasonally and weather dependent).

Do you have a seasonal menu?

We often have specials based on what is fresh and local, just ask!

Do you offer kosher food?

We have catered for many vegetarian Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, however our food is not kosher.

Is a gratuity automatically added to my order?

We do not automatically add gratuities to catering orders. We are often asked if tipping is customary, to which we respond that some customers do and others don’t. All gratuities are shared among the team that helped prepare and deliver your order.

Does your catering menu have the same items as your dining room menu?

Our catering menu includes everything you could order in any of our dining rooms. There are additional choices on our catering menu suitable for feeding large groups.

Can I as a client pick up my order?

Yes, you may pick up your order at whatever location is most convenient for you.

For corporate catering, do you accommodate last minute orders?

We prefer 24 hours notice for all orders to ensure product availability. However, we will always do our best to accommodate last minute orders, so please contact us.

Do you need electric outlets?

Depending on the order and if we are providing on site cooking standard electric outlets are usually required.

Do you offer desserts and/or beverages?

Check out our dessert platters. We can provide 2 Liter bottles of Coke products at any time. We can supply almost any beverage needed and if requested 24 to 48 hours in advance.

Can I substitute in the catering menu?

Yes, substitutions are permitted.

Can you cook without salt upon request?

We do our best to meet all dietary requests

When is my final guest count due?

Typically the day before is adequate.

Do you offer buffet style?

Most of our catering is done buffet style. We can help you set up your buffet if you wish.

What days do you cater?

We cater 7 days a week. We do not offer catering on Thanksgiving & Christmas.

What if I need service?

For the vast majority of our catering customers, simple drop-off delivery is adequate. But we have three different levels of service depending upon your needs:

Drop & Go – We will deliver your food hot and on-time.
Set Up & Go – We will deliver your food hot, ready-to-serve and set up your buffet.
Stay & Serve – We’ll take care of everything – from setting up to cleaning up you won’t have to lift a finger!

Are utensils provided?

We can provide serving ware and environmentally friendly utensils for our clients if needed for a small fee.

What is your catering service area?

We cater to the entire Boston area and beyond.

Up to how many people can you cater?

We have catered for groups of 10 to 400.
